26th Annual Distinguished Utahn Gala 2019: Honoring Gail Miller 04-10-2019

We are happy to announce our 26th Annual Distinguished Utahn Gala honoring Gail Miller for her contributions and commitment to supporting and growing moral and ethical leadership in Utah!

Gail Miller is the owner and chair of the board of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. Gail and her late husband, Larry, grew their business into one of the largest privately-owned companies in the United States. Beginning with the purchase of Toyota of Murray (Utah) in 1979, the Larry H. Miller Group is now comprised of more than 80 businesses and properties operating in 46 states and employing more than 10,000 people.

Gail is a philanthropist who, along with her late husband, founded Larry H. Miller Charities, a nonprofit organization focusing on health and education programs for women and children’s issues, and the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation supporting religious, charitable, scientific, literary, and educational programs. Gail also gives generously of her time and resources to civic endeavors. She serves on the National Advisory Council at the University of Utah and the President’s Leadership Council at Brigham Young University. Gail also serves as the chair of Intermountain Healthcare’s Board of Trustees, on the Shelter the Homeless Board, and the Zions Bank Advisory Board. She is recognized by many for her tireless service and leadership to her community, including Salt Lake Chamber’s highest award “A Giant in Our City” and Cox Automotive’s Barbara Cox Woman of the Year Award.

100% of the evening's proceeds will fund needs-based scholarships for Utah college students, qualifying through academic achievement and community service, enrolling at any Utah School or BYU affiliate. Sponsorship opportunities and individual ticket sales are availabe. For more information, please go to
